Bieter Eye Center Staff

Dr. Jeff Bieter - Optometrist
Dr. Jeff grew up in Cottage Grove. After completing his training at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 1994, he returned "home." He has been practicing for the past several years at the Allina Medical Clinic but has recently decided to embark on a new journey and open his own practice.

Dr. Jeff is certified in diagnostic pharmaceutical agents, therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and CPR. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Minnesota Optometric Association. His professional interests include ocular disease and injury, glaucoma, retina, and keratoconus.

His hobbies include woodworking, horses, outdoor activities, cooking and spending time with his wife and children.

Dr. Sheri Hibbett Bieter - Optometrist
Dr. Sheri Hibbett Bieter is the newest addition to the Bieter Eye Center staff. She grew up in Springfield, IL, before going to college and graduate school at the Southern College of Optometry in Tennessee. She practiced there for 11 years.

Since moving to Prescott, WI in 2005, she has found that she enjoys the springs, summers, and falls here, but is still getting used to the cold northern winters. She loves being an optometrist and is excited to start getting to know more people in Cottage Grove and the surrounding communities. In her free time, Dr. Sheri enjoys taking walks, doing yoga, and spending time with her husband, Dr. Jeff Bieter, and her two stepchildren.

Gretchen - Optometric Assistant
Gretchen has worked with Dr. Jeff for several years. She is his "right hand." As the Optometric Assistant, Gretchen does the patient pre-testing and is trained to perform many of the things that need to be done before Dr. Jeff sees a patient. She also handles much of the contact lens duties.

Gretchen loves spending her time away from work staying busy with her husband and two daughters.

Tracy - Certified Optician / Office Manager
Tracy joins our team bringing several years of optical experience with her. She is a licensed optician certified by the American Board of Opticianry. She has that knack to get your glasses adjusted "just so" and is always eager and pleased to help you pick out the perfect pair of glasses that look great. If any questions arise about lenses, frames or style please call or stop in and ask for Tracy. She will be happy to help.

In her spare time, she enjoys being with her husband and two little boys and her new baby girl.

Josh - Optician
Josh is now working in our new lab making glasses. We are thrilled to have added him to our team. He comes to us from Inver Grove Heights where he also works and is going to school.

Josh is a newlywed so he enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and step-daughter.

Shelly - Front Desk Coordinator
Shelly is the most recent addition to our team. We are very excited to have her for many reasons, one being that she has been a resident of Cottage Grove for over 30 years. This means she already knows many of you and should be a familiar face when you come into the office and will be the very friendly voice you now hear on the phone.

Shelly is taking care of scheduling appointments, confirming those appointments and checking on insurance benefits. If you have any questions, call and ask for Shelly. If she doesn't know the answer right away, she will work hard to find it for you. She also has a good eye for fashion so if you need that extra opinion when you are searching for that perfect pair of glasses, she would love to help!!
